Description

GEO1_TG1960 identifies the urban center within which the household is enumerated. Regions are the first level administrative units of the country. Note that the 1960 Togo sample includes data from seven urban areas only and not regions. A GIS map of the urban center locations (in shapefile format), corresponding to GEO1_TG1960 can be downloaded from the GIS Boundary files page in the IPUMS International web site.
