Description
GEO2_AT1971 identifies the household's ENUTS 3 within Austria in 1971. The Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics (NUTS) is a standard administrative division of the European Union, and was developed by the EU. We are using ENUTS 3 as the second level administrative units of the country, after states. A GIS map (in shapefile format), corresponding to GEO2_AT1971 can be downloaded from the GIS Boundary files page in the IPUMS International web site.
