Description
REGNRO indicates the region in Romania in all sample years. REGNRO is harmonized by name and does not account for boundary changes over time.

Comparability — General
The variable is comparable across Romanian samples, although the counties of Alba and Arad -- in the West and Center regions -- are not included in the 1977 sample. Region for 1977 and 1992 is constructed by imposing the 2002 county-region relationship onto the 1977-1992 counties.
