Description

GEO1_UK1851_1911 identifies the household's division within the United Kingdom. Each census division is made up of either complete Registration Counties or parts of Registration Counties. Divisions are the primary level of geography for the United Kingdom. Some other geography variables from 1851 to 1911 United Kingdom include, COUNTYUK, DISTUK, and SUBDISTUK.

South-East: Berkshire, Hampshire, Kent (Extra- metropolitan), Surrey (Extra-metropolitan), Sussex
South-Midland: Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Huntingdonshire, Middlesex (Extra-metropolitan), Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire
South-Western: Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire
West-Midland: Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire
Yorkshire: Yorkshire (East Riding), Yorkshire (North Riding), Yorkshire (West Riding)
