Description
GEO1_UK1851_1911 identifies the household's division within the United Kingdom. Each census division is made up of either complete Registration Counties or parts of Registration Counties. Divisions are the primary level of geography for the United Kingdom. Some other geography variables from 1851 to 1911 United Kingdom include, COUNTYUK, DISTUK, and SUBDISTUK.
GEO1_UK1851_1911 is harmonized by name and does not take into consideration changing province boundaries. It is not mappable.
Comparability — General
Dataset for Scotland was provided as separate variables for all historic sample years while data for Wales and Northern Ireland are missing for all sample years.
Some units are missing in the 1871 and 1911 samples.

West-Midland: Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire
