MIG1_P_ET indicates the person's region of previous residence within Ethiopia. Migration region codes from MIG1_P_ET are compatible with codes from GEO1_ET.

Comparability — General
Users should be aware that MIG1_P_ET only captures migration within the past 10 years.
Where boundaries changed over time, units were harmonized to create units with boundaries that remain stable over time.
Boundary changes:
- A 2004 referendum altered the boundary between the Oromia and Somali regions.
