Comparability — General
There are two comparability issues:
The treatment of the Federal Territories differs across samples. Labuan was part of Sabah state in 1970-1980. Kuala Lumpur was part of Selangor state in 1970.
The 1970-1980 samples exclude those who live in Borneo (Sabah and Sarawak); therefore, birthplace data for those states will not be comparable with 1991-2000.
