MIG2_1_AT indicates the person's ENUTS-3 of residence within Austria one year prior to the census. Migration ENUTS-3 codes in MIG2_1_AT are compatible with codes in GEO2_AT.

Where boundaries changed over time, units were harmonized to create units with boundaries that remain stable over time. Boundary changes for MIG2_1_AT are too numerous to list here, but users should be aware that there were changes over time.
