Description
This variable indicates whether the dwelling has kitchen or cooking facilities. For 1960, "kitchen facilities" means: 1) a room used primarily for cooking and food preparation; or 2) equipment intended or regularly used to cook food; or 3) both. In 1960, households that shared a kitchen were coded the same as those without any kitchen facilities (i.e., a "no" response).
