Comparability — General

Where boundaries changed over time, units were harmonized to create units with boundaries that remain stable over time.

Boundary changes:

• The City of Bishkek is coded as a single unit in migration variables
• The City of Kok-Yangak split from the Jalal-Abad region
• Batken district split to form City Kenesh Batken.
