Description
MIG2_8_PK indicates the person's administrative division of residence, 8 years ago within Pakistan. Migration administrative division codes from MIG2_8_PK are compatible with codes from GEO2_PK.

Comparability — General
Where boundaries changed over time, units were harmonized to create units with boundaries that remain stable over time. Where officially-defined departments have populations less than 20,000, they have been regionalized (combined) with neighboring departments.
Boundary changes for MIG2_8_PK are too numerous to list here, but users should be aware that there were changes over time.
All Pakistan samples exclude the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Northern Areas (Gilgit-Baltistan) and Kashmir.
