Description

MIG1_5_NI indicates the person's department of residence five years prior to the census within Nicaragua.

Comparability — General

Where boundaries changed over time, units were harmonized to create units with boundaries that remain stable over time.

Some departments are combined in order to make the data consistent between samples:

  • Matagalpa, Atlántico Norte, Atlántico Sur and Zelaya
  • Managua and Masaya
  • Nueva Segovia and Jinotega
