20.3. In question 3 "Material of outer walls":
- if a house is constructed of brick, natural or faux stone, the answer "brick, stone" is to be completed;

- if a house is constructed of concrete or reinforced concrete panels, the answer "concrete panels" is to be completed;

- if a house is constructed of concrete, reinforced concrete or ceramsite or cinder blocks, the answer "blocks" is to be completed;

- if a house is constructed of solid-cast or foam concrete or of monolithic reinforced concrete, the answer "monolith" is to be completed;

- if the walls of a house are made of wood (blocks or logs) or of prefabricated wood boards, the answer "wood" is to be marked; the answer "wood" is also completed when a wooden house is brick-faced;

- if the first floor (half or part of a house) is constructed of one material (e.g., brick or stone), and the second floor (half or part of a house) - of another material (e.g., wood), the answer "mixed materials" is to be completed;

- if the walls of a house are made of precast blocks or prefabricated panels (including those coated with bricks), or of any other materials not mentioned above, the answer "other material" is to be completed.
Enumerators in urban settlements and large rural areas should complete questions 2 and 3 with data on the year of construction and material of outer walls as specified in columns 5 and 6 of table 1 on Form 7 "Enumerator's notebook for cities, urban settlements and large rural areas". Only in the absence of those data, they should complete answers as told by respondents;
