Description
BPLKH2 indicates the province in Cambodia in which the person was born. Provinces are the first level administrative units of the country. BPLKH2 is harmonized by name and does not account for boundary changes over time.
Comparability — General
BPLKH2 does not account for boundary changes, but users should be aware that there might have been changes over time.
Some districts are grouped into "other" categories in 2004 for confidentiality reasons. See the codes page for details.
Tbong Khmum, included in the 2019 sample, is a newly created province separated from Kampong Cham in 2013.
