Description

This variable classifies all housing units as falling into one of three main categories: households, group quarters, or vacant units.  Households under 1970 definition refer to households with 0 to 4 persons unrelated to the head. Additional households under the 1990 definition refer to households with 5 to 9 persons unrelated to the head.
