Description

This variable indicates the amount (in square meters) of useful living area in the house in which the household lives.

The criteria for determining how to record the useful living area differs depending upon whether a household is listed as the first household in the house or a subsequent household. For households listed first, enumerators recorded the total useful living area of the entire house. For subsequent households, enumerators recorded only the useful living area is use by that household.
