Ask those who have changed their place of residence since October 1996 (code 1 in column 14), their previous residence. The last place of residence has one of the following conditions compared to the current one:
[] 1 and 2 This county: city/village, if the person's previous place of residence is located within the boundaries of this county (where enumeration is taking place), write down either code 1 or 2 in the following order: if the previous place had been a city when the person left it, code 1, and if it had been a village, write down code 2.

Ask the question ''Where did [the respondent] live ten years ago?'' (or: ''Where did [the respondents] live in October 2003?'') According to the answer, enter legibly, if it is a locality of Senegal, the name of the municipality/rural community of residence 10 years ago if it is known or the name of the arrondissement, department or region otherwise.
