9. (Only for those 5 years of age and older) In what municipality or department did you live in March, 1969 (5 years ago)?
This section is for all residents in the dwelling. It is intended to find out information about the composition of the population according to their relationship with the head of household, sex, age, civil status, whether the mother is alive, place of birth, year of arrival in the country, nationality, and permanent residence in 1969.
Ask questions 1-9 of everyone who is enumerated, without exception and according to the detailed instructions below.
Question set 9: Permanent residency in March, 1969
Ask every person older than five (5) years of age: "In what municipality and department were you living in March, 1969?"
Mark an "X" in the box corresponding to "here" if the place of residence in March, 1969 is the same as the place of permanent residence on the date of the census. Leave the spaces for municipality and department blank.
[p. 35]
If the enumerated person was residing in a different municipality in Honduras, ask the names of the municipality and department he/she was residing in. Write the answer in the appropriate spaces.
If the person was residing abroad, ask the name of the country and record the information in the appropriate space.

Important: The month of May, 1983 does not appear on the form; therefore, the enumerator should take care to form the question in the following manner:
In which municipality and department did you live in May, 1983 (five years ago)?
Here: This refers to the place where the interview is taking place, not the dwelling.
If the person resided somewhere else in the country five years ago, the Municipality and department are recorded.
If the person lived abroad five years ago, record only the name of the country.
For persons 5 years old or more
[Questions 6-11 were asked of persons aged 5 years or older.]
6. Where did [the person] live in 1996 (five years ago)?
Question 6: Where did you live in 1996 (five years ago)?
You should complete the question reading the three possible answers:
Only one of them should be the response, marking the corresponding box.
The enumerator should take into account that 'in this group of houses, village or city' refers specifically to the place of enumeration, which can be:
In the group of houses called 'X'; the village called 'Z'; or a city called 'Y'.
To avoid confusing the informant, you should mention the name of the group of houses, the village, or the city in which the census is being taken, since this will help the person orient himself or herself and remember with greater ease.
If the answer is 'in this group of houses, village or city': mark the box 'yes' and continue with the next question. If on the contrary, mark the box 'no'.
If five years ago the person resided 'in another place in the country', write the name of the group of houses, village, or city where he or she lived on the line B.1; write the name of the municipality on the line B.2; write the name of the department on the line B.3, and continue with the next question.
