Description
LANGSL2 indicates the secondary language spoken by the individual: the language apart from their mother tongue, if any, they can speak fluently.
Comparability — General
The 2004 and 2015 Sierra Leone samples also record a respondent's mother tongue in MTONGSL.
The data are fully comparable across census years, apart from a minor universe difference: the 2015 census addressed the question only to persons in private households.
