For example, if the respondent is a Ga and the code No. is 20 for Ga, you must first write Ga in the space provided against "description" and then write the code number 20 in the boxes provided against "enter code" e.g. write ethnicity GA

A list of ethnic groups in their alphabetical order and their codes has been provided in appendix 3. Note that this question does not seek the broad categories of the ethnic groupings. If for example a respondent indicates that he/she is an Akan, probe to find out which of the Akan groupings he/she belongs.
