Description
EDUCKG indicates the person's educational attainment in the Kyrgyz Republic in terms of the level of schooling completed.
Comparability — General
Only the level of education was recorded, and not the years of schooling.
"Primary general" includes persons with complete primary education, and "basic general" refers to persons with incomplete secondary. Details are described in the table below:

"Incomplete higher" refers to persons who currently attend or previously attended higher education institutions and completed at least half of a basic program. In the 1999 sample, persons who completed less than half of a higher program were classified as having either secondary general or specialized education.
The 2009 sample has more detail in the higher education category, differentiating persons with Bachelor's, Specialist, and Master's degrees. Additionally, the 2009 sample includes the "Basic vocational" category within the secondary educational level; it applies to persons who graduated from primary vocational education establishment and received a certificate of secondary general education (graduates of vocational (technical) schools, etc.).
