Description
DISFR indicates the nature of the person's disability, if they reported one. The responses were to reflect permanent disabilities.
Comparability — General
This variable is only available in the 1962 French sample. It provides greater detail on the nature of the person's disability than is available in most other IPUMS-International samples. The sample also included a question on intensity of disability, which is recorded among the unharmonized source variables.
