ETHNICLA indicates a person's ethnic group within Laos.
Comparability — General
The 1995 and 2015 samples have detailed ethnic groups identified, while the 2005 sample has few aggregated groups. The different aggregated groups in 2005 are classified as 'Other' variables.
The question was asked only to Laotian citizens in 1995 and 2015 and to all persons in 2005.
