Description

This variable indicates whether the total income of a person's economic family was below the low income cut-off point in 1990. On the basis of the total income of an economic family or an unattached individual, size of the family and size of the area of residence, the position of each unattached individual and economic family is determined in relation to Statistics Canada's low income cut-offs (LICOs).
