Comparability — General

The 1993 instructions stated that the question was intended to indicate self-identified cultural membership in such a group, not physical characteristics. The 2005 census mentioned "culture, group, or physical characteristics." In 2005 the specified groups Raizal and Palenquero are included in "yes." They are separately identified in the unharmonized source variable.
