Description

LANGNG indicates the language in which the person in Nigeria is literate: able to read and write. Illiterate persons do not report a language.

Comparability — General

LANGNG differs from language variables in most other samples because of the limitation to literate persons. It does not necessarily report the language the person actually spoke.

There are no comparability issues across samples.
